Principal Investigator:
Dr Anna Muggeridge is a UKRI Future Leaders Fellow (Round 8) and Lecturer in History at the University of Worcester. Anna studied at Coventry University and the University of Warwick before joining the University of Worcester. She is an historian of modern Britain, with a specialism in women’s history, and is particularly interested in the modes and methods of women’s politicisation.
Anna’s research has previously been funded by grants from the University of Worcester, the Arts and Humanities Research Council, the Royal Historical Society and the British Academy/Leverhulme Trust. Alongside her academic career, Anna has worked in the heritage sector and maintains close links with a number of local and national museums. She regularly speaks to general audiences about her research, including at the Black Country Living Museum and the Hay Festival. Her research has been featured on the BBC, and she’s presented on the BBC Radio 3’s New Thinking podcast.

Postdoctoral Research Fellow:
A Postdoctoral Research Fellow will join the team in September 2025, recruiting in spring/summer 2025. It is expect that the appointed candidate will be in possession of, or close to the completion of, a PhD in History. We will link to the advertisement when this is live.
